This weeks excursion was to Audley End House. In common with all other Stateoly homes / Heritage sites, the actual house was closed, but the grounds were open.
As an experience it is very similar to Hatfield House. The grounds at Audley End are massive, with hidden gardens, lakes, bridges, islands, waterfalls and fountains, and a mixture of manicured gardens, fruit & veg allotments, wooded walk-ways, acres & acres of parkland and a wild nature reserve.
This particular day we were priviledged to a display from a Buzzard who decide to show off not only his ariel skills but also the glorious roundels under his wings.
